Trials and Terrorism

Should the government keep suspected terrorists in prison for years while the FBI and the CIA gather evidence? Should the U.S. army allow prisoners to be tortured if they suspect that the prisoners have information about a possible terrorist attack?

The Sixth Amendment includes the right to a fair trial:

“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury . . .”
