In 2002, Shafiq Rasul, a British citizen, was arrested for fighting against America in Afghanistan. The U.S. military wanted to hold Rasul for a military trial. In the 2004 Supreme Court Case, Rasul vs. Bush, the judges rule that even foreigners arrested outside the United States can argue their case in a U.S. court. The courts will decide whether the prisoners get a trial by jury or a military trial.
It is now 2010. America is fighting a War on Terror all over the world. People are arrested for helping Al Qaeda plot attacks.
